Paľo Bielik (December 11, 1910 – April 23, 1983), also known as Jan Bukva, was a Slovak film director and screenwriter. He was born in Banská Bystrica, then part of Czechoslovakia. He is best known for directing a series of films about the legendary outlaw Jánošík. In 1946, he co-directed the film Varúj...! with Martin Frič.[1]
